Julie Keller: The 2025 Pinup Girl

Julie Keller: The 2025 Pinup Girl

Welcome to Threadlines, our monthly blog dedicated to celebrating our passionate supporters who inspire our brand. We shine the spotlight on none other than Miss Pinup Rochester 2017 and birthday girl, Julie Keller.

Julie and I first crossed paths during a Mansawear trunk show at the Memorial Art Gallery, where she was immediately captivated by the bold colors and sophisticated designs. As a lover of vintage fashion, she naturally gravitated toward Mansawear’s unique aesthetic—an exciting blend of classic silhouettes and modern Ghanaian fabrics.

Her love for vintage fashion led her into the world of pinup modeling and to her amazement she discovered that there were a lot of amazing pinup photographers in Rochester. Her embrace of the art of retro glamour led her to be crowned Miss Pinup Rochester 2017 and and first runner up in 2021.

But Julie is so much more than just a lover of beautiful clothes. She's a vibrant, multifaceted individual who embodies the spirit of Rochester.  Beyond her creative pursuits, Julie dedicates her time to humanitarian work. She works as a Case Manager for Catholic Charities and Church World Services where she helps refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Afghanistan, and Venezuela adjust to life in their new country. From registering children for school to connecting families with resources for English as a Second Language and workforce development through OACES, Julie makes a tangible difference in our community.  She works with local churches and places of worship to get refugees clothing and furniture to help them start their new lives in the US.

Julie’s artistic passions extend beyond fashion—she’s also a musician. She plays bass guitar in the vintage rock scene.  Under the stage name Felix Goldstein, Julie is a talented bass guitarist. Her latest album, "Double Helix," features a blend of vintage rock songs. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, she could be found performing at Starry Night Café.

When she's not modeling, working, volunteering, or rocking out, Julie enjoys spending time with her furry and scaly family: Boogle and Nymeria (the cats), Fifi (the turtle), and Lulu (the lizard)! You can catch glimpses of their adorable antics on her Instagram – definitely worth a follow!

Apart from being a cherished customer, Julie is a dedicated supporter of Mansawear, modeling for the brand at the annual Fashion Week Rochester and confidently strutting around town in her favorite pieces. Her love for the brand is evident in her statement: "I get so many compliments when I wear my Mansawear outfits." Julie's vibrant personality and diverse interests make her an ideal representative for Mansawear's mission of creating clothing that truly lifts and inspires its wearers. Happy Birthday, Julie! Thank you for being a vibrant part of the Mansawear family.
