Ramel Holliday — Twinning the Runways

Ramel Holliday — Twinning the Runways

Welcome to Threadlines

Happy New Year and I trust 2026 found you and your loved ones in good health!

Welcome back to Threadlines, our monthly celebration of the extraordinary individuals who bring Mansawear to life. We start 2026 spotlighting Ramel Holliday—a quiet yet powerful business leader, Mansawear model, longtime customer, beloved boss, devoted husband, and proud twin.

How We Met

I met Ramel in 2017 through mutual family friends. He initially came into the shop to purchase gifts for members of his team. As longtime readers of this blog know, those visits often turn into something more. Before long, Ramel was modeling for Mansawear (and for Fashion Week of Rochester), and even more importantly, he became a friend.

True to the meaning often associated with his name, Ramel exudes quiet strength, individuality, adaptability, and graciousness—qualities that have consistently shaped his leadership style and personal presence.

A Leader on the Rise

When we first met, Ramel was a Branch Manager for Enterprise Rent-A-Car at the downtown location. In a relatively short time, he rose from Branch Manager to Area Manager—an achievement that came as no surprise. Under his leadership, the branch achieved a 91% customer satisfaction score. He elevated performance across key metrics, invested deeply in team development, and strengthened workplace culture.

Service Beyond the Office

For Ramel, leadership extends well beyond the workplace. He is deeply committed to community engagement, from walking the catwalk to support The Center for Youth to serving as President of the Associates Board for Rochester’s Center for Youth. He has also contributed his voice and leadership to the Northeast DEI Council. Outside of service and work, Ramel is an avid pickleball player and a photography enthusiast, pursuits that reflect his curiosity, balance, and creative eye.

Love, Family, and Twin Energy

In 2023, Ramel married Rebecca, his love, friend and travel companion. Together, they’ve explored much of Europe and now have their sights set on Africa—the motherland. Ramel and Rebecca are proud “parents” to three dogs and a cat, and doting uncle and aunt to four nieces and nephews.

Ramel is an identical twin, and interestingly, his mother is also a twin. If Ramel ever explores his DNA roots, my bet is Nigeria—possibly Yoruba. Factoid: Nigeria has some of the highest recorded rates of twin births in the world, likely due to a combination of genetics, maternal age patterns, and environmental or dietary factors.

🌸 Here’s to the Twin Model! 🌸
Please join us in congratulating Ramel as he relocates to New Orleans to take on an exciting new role as Group Rental Manager of New Orleans. While he may not be walking the runway for Mansawear in NOLA (at least not yet), we’re certain he’ll continue to strut his style—perhaps even in Mansawear. Who knows?
